Eckhart Tolle ~ New Earth

“As the new consciousness emerges, some people will feel called upon to form groups that reflect the enlightened consciousness. Dissolving the human ego by bringing it into the light of awareness–this will be one of the main purposes of these groups, whether they be enlightened businesses, charitable organizations, schools, or communities of people living together. Enlightened collectives can be a vortex for consciousness that will accelerate the planetary shift.”~ Eckhart Tolle

A New Earth is one of the most profound pieces of work ever written.  No matter how many times I immerse myself in these teachings, I hear things I’ve never heard before or hear things in a different way. 😉

This piece on collective ego is profound… where Tolle talks about large groups that seek opposition to define its identity (this could explain conflict in entire nations?) vs. groups that seek to emerge the new consciousness, the New Earth.

The collective ego/enlightened collective also reminds me of how we are the average of the five to ten people we hang out with most. Do these people lift you up to a higher vibration? Or do you ever find yourself pulled down by those in your inner circle?

I reckon we have two choices: either change the peeps we hang out with, or help those in our inner circle become more conscious, become more successful. Thing is, as you become more conscious, you’ll automatically attract people to you who are of a similar vibration.

Perhaps, as each of us builds our online communities through Facebook and other sites, in essence, we are forming/leading/participating in collectives… it’s a matter of what that collective represents.

What say you? How can we, as leaders, inspire more enlightened leadership?” ~ Mari Smith, Social Media Expert

I think why this particular topic interests me is because of the deep, deep spiritual awakening that began about 4 years ago and continues to grow brighter each day. It’s a torch I wish to share with the world, to help people communicate with one another better, absent of ego, pride, or fear. For a down-to-earth Kansas boy like me, this whole “New Earth”, “New Generation” stuff seems pretty simple. Rather than talk in terms like “vibration” or “collective consciousness”, I’ll put it in layman’s terms.

Birds of a feather flock together. Pick your poison. Do you want to surround yourself with peeps who see nothing but negative in their world? Who can’t see the forest for the trees? Or people who’ve made a conscious choice to turn their perceived weaknesses into assets? I use the word “perceive” with intention, because perception is reality. If you think weak, you’ll BE weak. Live strong!

I have a friend here in San Diego who puts it like this; “Life is like an Etch-A-Sketch, we need to shake it up now and then.” Remember those when you were a kid? Shake it and start over. Same goes with life. Re-draw your lines. Change your attitude, change your life. It’s simply a choice. What will you choose? ~ Gus

  6. Gus,
I relocated from Austin Tx and live in San Diego now (2014). I would really adore connecting with others interested in exploring Tolle’s enlightened, inner wise self (sans little ego) approach to life in this Universe. Any suggestions of a good place to interact and share with other deep, vibrant seekers here in San Diego? Thanks a trillion….

    • Hi, not sure where do direct you. In fact, I no longer live in the San Diego area. Currently living and working in Maui. Wish you the best. San Diego is a beautiful area.
